Windy Point Phase I Construction Advances (136.6 MW)

San Diego, CA – Gerry Monkhouse, Chairman of Cannon Power Group, announced today that construction of Phase I of Cannon’s Windy Point wind project was progressing rapidly and on schedule.

“The construction of Windy Point Phase I is progressing very well,” said Monkhouse.

“We’ve completed our 8 mile on site transmission line, over 20 miles of on-site roads, and two project substations. We’re now erecting turbines. If the weather cooperates, we’ll have most of the turbines up by the end of this December. Our construction team has done a superb job.”

The 136.6 MW Phase I project is being constructed by Cannon Power Construction Co., a Cannon affiliate. The project will consist of 42 Siemens 2.3 MW turbines and 20 REpower 2.0 MW turbines. The project is expected to be fully completed and commissioned during the first quarter of 2009.
