Cannon Power Group and Mexico Power Group to Collaborate on Wind Project in Mexico

Arrangement Reunites Renewable Energy Pioneers

San Diego, Calif. – Cannon Power Group announced today an agreement with Mexico Power Group to work in coordination, providing technical services and counsel, on Mexico Power Group’s 180 megawatt La Bufa wind project under development in Zacatecas, Mexico.

“We are thrilled to work with Mexico Power Group to support the ongoing development of this important project for the State of Zacatecas,” said Gary Hardke, president and managing director of Cannon Power Group.  “The project will create jobs and substantial economic activity for the region.”

Pursuant to this agreement, Cannon Power Group will assist Mexico Power Group in finalizing the material project agreements, project financing and construction of the La Bufa project.

“This collaboration between Cannon Power Group and Mexico Power Group essentially reunites the same executive team that built all Cannon’s projects over the last several decades,” said Gerald Monkhouse, founder and chairman Mexico Power Group and founder of Cannon Power Group. “In addition to this agreement, Mexico Power Group has also considerably expanded the company’s Mexican development group. We’re very pleased with the pipeline of projects we have in the works.”

Mexico Power Group was created in 2011, as a subsidiary of Cannon Power Group to meet renewable energy project demands in Mexico and to help country establish a renewable energy industry.
