Our Team
Gerald Monkhouse
Founder/Chairman (Principal)
Mr. Monkhouse founded the Cannon organization in 1979, and has been involved in wind energy development ever since. In 2011, he also founded a separate Mexico-based company, Mexico Power Group, to develop projects throughout the country of Mexico. Mr. Monkhouse was educated at the University of Victoria, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He resides in Mexico.
Gary S. Hardke
President/Managing Director (Principal)
Mr. Hardke is the President/Managing Director of Cannon. His background in the renewable energy industry began in 1982 as Cannon’s principal legal counsel. He has been President/Managing Director and principal in Cannon for over ten years. He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Mr. Hardke is based in San Diego, California.
Michael Toke
Chief executive officer (principal)
Mr. Toke became Cannon's CEO in November 2010 after having served as Cannon's general counsel and senior vice president since 2001. He has over 15 years of wind energy experience. He previously was affiliated with several major law firms where he specialized in project and corporate finance and energy law. He holds a J.D. from Cornell Law School and a M.S. in Economics/Finance. Mr. Toke was raised in Russia, Poland, and Germany. He is based in San Luis Obispo, California.
Clare Lees
Construction and Operations
Mr. Lees has been involved in the wind industry since its beginning in the early 1980s. He has participated in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of U.S. and international wind power projects totaling over 1,600 wind turbines. Mr. Lees is based in Palm Springs, California.
Scott Reinhardt
Operations and Development
Mr. Reinhardt has over 20 years experience in the wind industry in project operations and project management, turbine installation and commissioning, and development. Prior to joining Cannon, Mr. Reinhardt held management positions with Shell WindEnergy, Mitsubishi, and SeaWest WindPower. Mr. Reinhardt is based in Goldendale, Washington and San Diego, California.
Michael McCormick
Vice President of Development
Mr. McCormick's experience in the wind energy industry dates back to the 1980's when he was responsible for establishing manufacturing operations of a U.S. wind turbine manufacturer. He subsequently owned and operated an ISO-certified precision machining and sheet metal fabrication facility in San Diego. He also served in the United States Marine Corp as a senior controller of fighter aircraft service and maintenance operations. Mr. McCormick is based in San Diego, California.
Alan Zlotnik
CHief financial officer
Mr. Zlotnik rejoined Cannon as Accounting and Administrative Manager in 2002 after working more than ten years in the health care and motion picture industries. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois, Champaign. Mr. Zlotnik is based in San Diego, California.
Sean Blyth
Finance Director
Mr. Blyth is a graduate of the University of South Africa. Prior to joining the Cannon’s organization, Mr. Blyth had over five years experience with Shell WindEnergy in the United States and The Netherlands in finance, accounting, operational management systems, contract negotiations and project and transaction structuring. Mr. Blyth joined Cannon in November 2008 as the Mexico Finance Director located in Tijuana, Mexico and subsequently moved to take up the role of the US Finance Director in October 2010 located in San Diego, California.
Ed Kerr
Controller
Mr. Kerr completed his B.S. in Accounting from William Paterson University, Wayne, N.J. His diverse work experience includes management positions in Manufacturing, Hospitality, Construction and Public Safety. He brings a background in energy production via a developer of coal fired turbine co-generation facilities. Mr. Kerr is based in San Diego, California.
John Bryant
General counsel
Mr. Bryant holds a J.D. from American University - Washington College of Law and a B.A. in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to joining Cannon in 2010 he was affiliated with two major law firms where he specialized in renewable energy, corporate and finance law. Mr. Bryant is based in San Luis Obispo, California.
Todorenko Pecotik
Croatia Area Manager
Mr. Pecotik has been Cannon’s Croatia Area Manager for over ten years. Prior to joining Cannon, Mr. Pecotik was engaged in various real development projects in Canada and Southeastern Europe. He is based in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Kurt Humphrey
Northwest Area Manager (Project Manager)
Mr. Humphrey joined Cannon as Northwest Area Manager in January of 2003. Prior to joining Cannon, Mr. Humphrey worked in the energy development field for more than 20 years. He is based in Portland, Oregon.
Brandy Myers
Administrative Manager (washington)
Ms. Davenport joined Cannon in August of 2007 and is located in Cannon’s Goldendale, Washington office. Prior to joining Cannon, Ms. Davenport had over four years experience working with Fluor Corporation in various financial analyst and project management positions. She has a business management/ accounting degree from Washington State University.
Scott Hardke
Development Associate
Mr. Hardke joined Cannon's development group as a Development Associate in 2008. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado (Boulder). He is based in San Diego, California.
Doug Cook
Assistant project manager (washington)
Mr. Cook joined Cannon's operational team in October, 2009 and is located in Cannon's Goldendale, Washington office. He has over 20 years experience in the wind industry and in various wind technology and management positions.
Danielle Olsen
Washington Asset manager
Ms. Olsen joined Cannon in March 2008 and is located in Cannon's Goldendale, WA office. Ms. Olsen comes to us with over 4 years experience in various project management, and business administration positions in the retail and contractor industry. Currently she is pursing a Small Business Management degree.
Keelie Olsen
Construction administrator
Ms. Olsen joined our team on the Windy Point/Flats project in June of 2008 as an office assistant and subsequently was offered a job at the project site as a construction administrator. Her past job experiences include 4 years with the Washington State Park system in a variety of positions.
